A Surprise of a Lifetime
NARPRO a group of local small business auto repair shops devoted to quality service and giving back to their communities donated a 2005 Nissan Murano SL to a widowed single mom of four children today. It was a big surprise!
The mom’s name is Taralee Williams and she is a part of a Valley nonprofit program, Helping Hands For Single Moms.
NARPRO shops have provided car care advice, maintenance, repairs, replacement cars, and more for 10+ years to the moms in the organization.
The Nissan was initially donated by Community Tire customers, Leon and Renee Ellis. (Renee is a school nurse in Glendale, AZ.) Community Tire Pros are a member of the NARPRO group.
Introducing Taralee Willaims
The mom who was surprised was Taralee Williams.
I am Taralee Williams and I chose to become a nurse after my husband passed away 4.5 years. I had worked in the hospital setting before in foodservice and I loved seeing the children and bringing a smile to their faces as I brought in their food trays.
I want to help others and care for them as so many have helped me these past few years. I have four energetic boys who love to explore and climb everything in sight. It was a struggle going to school and studying in my spare time while juggling the household chores and meals.
The boys were upset when I had to study and not play all day with them even though I did try to give them time each day. They now say to me “now that you don’t have to study we can…” I am grateful for the many people who have supported me on this journey. I am grateful for my family and their encouragement and faith in me.
I am grateful for my faith that has sustained me given me the strength to continue on. I am grateful for the end of this journey and to begin a new journey with the knowledge I have gained and the people I can help with this knowledge.
