In June and November of 2013, Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne announced information and resolutions about his ongoing auto repair “stings” in the Valley. NARPRO wanted to reach out to him to offer ways our organization could help him, the consumer and the community and sent this letter that you can read below. We are still interested in discussing our assistance if he is open to it.

Dear Attorney General Horne,
As the Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals (NARPRO), we’d like to extend our congratulations on the recent success of your campaign against auto repair shops defrauding customers. To help you continue your success, we’re offering our assistance to you and your team in overhauling dishonest auto repair shops.
Because of our organization’s expertise in helping customers find independent and honest auto repair shops in the Valley and beyond, we’re an expert source to partner with in your efforts. How can NARPRO help? In several ways:
- We can partner with your office to disseminate info to the general public about what to look for in a quality auto repair shop.
- We welcome you and your staff to one or more of our shops for a tour and to see how an honest shop operates.
- We can educate your staff on the ins and outs of quality auto service.
- We are more than happy to help your constituents who have been taken advantage of by dishonest shops.
Representing 26 independent auto shops in the Valley that have each passed a rigid quality inspection, we believe that honesty truly is the best policy when it comes to the services and prices we offer consumers. If an auto repair shop is seen as fraudulent, it taints the industry for all of us, doing a disservice to the consumers as well as the business owners.
Because of this, we’d appreciate the opportunity to talk with you about how our expertise in the industry combined with your evidently successful campaign can be nothing but beneficial for what matters most—our consumers and your constituents.
Please contact us at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you.
