70% of Child Car Seats Are Improperly Installed. Is Your Child At Risk? – Child Car Seat Installation Program Phoenix Area 2013

by | Jan 17, 2013 | Safety

Strapping your youngsters into approved child car seats does not guarantee them adequate protection, experts say.  The reason is that an estimated 70% or more of these car seats are improperly installed.  They can come partly loose during a crash and subject their occupants to severe injuries or worse.  Please join us at the Child Safety Seat Installation Program in the Phoenix Area to make sure your car seat is properly installed and your child is safe.

The trouble is that almost all parents – and most certified mechanics at auto repair shops – cannot tell whether their child seats are installed correctly or not.  It takes a trained eye to spot problems and install the seat safely.  Car Child Safety Seat Installers must go through extensive training to become certified.  When you purchase a new safety seat, make sure to have it installed by a certified technician.  Doing it yourself may do more harm than good.

Free Safety Seat Inspection

On Saturday morning, January 26th, Phoenix area drivers can have their child seats checked by certified experts with the Maricopa County Safe Kids Coalition free-of charge.  If your safety seat is improperly installed, it will be removed and re-installed by experienced technicians who have gone through extensive training of courses and take the time to train you one-on-one on the proper installation.

Complimentary Tire Inspection

Additionally, all drivers will receive a free Tire Inspection courtesy of NARPRO – the Network of Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals.  Technicians will be on hand to check your air pressure and tread wear.  You will be given a written report of their findings.
